A family-owned restoration and repair shop in Penn Yan, working on wood and fiberglass boats alike — with over 75 years of combined experience and a habit of taking pictures the whole way through.
As a kid, Adam went to work with his father Ralph, plugging boats while Ralph handled the restorations. That passion never left. After a combined 35 years at another locally-owned shop, they struck out on their own — in March 2015, Adam took on a 6,250 sq ft empty shell of a building and turned it into a 3,000 sq ft restoration shop with 3,250 sq ft of storage.
Since then they've restored or repaired 30+ boats, built relationships with vendors and customers across the Finger Lakes and beyond, and stayed connected with the Wine Country Classic Boat Club and the Finger Lakes Boating Museum. They keep in constant contact and take pictures the whole way through, so you always know exactly what's happening with your boat.

Most shops pick one. Hullings Hulls handles both — plus the pontoons and small mechanical jobs that come with owning a boat on the lake.
Two examples straight from the shop floor — proof of the range Hullings Hulls covers, from a full concours-level restoration to an honest project boat.
Fully restored in 2015 by Ralph Hullings — new bottom frames, keel, stem, forefoot, chines, transom framing and all-new planking, built as a 3M 5200 boat. Rebuilt Chris Craft KBL 131hp motor, new gas tank, new generator, red-and-white interior.
Powered by its original 135hp Gray Marine engine with dual carburetors and under 400 original hours. Comes with a 1991 single-axle galvanized trailer, 6 cushions, 6 bumpers, and stern flag mast & pole.
Adam and Ralph have attended local antique boat shows and stay connected with the Wine Country Classic Boat Club and the Finger Lakes Boating Museum.
